Due to the warm weather in the European part of Russia, the sowing campaign may start earlier than usual this year. This was announced by the head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand during the All-Russian agronomic meeting.
According to Wilfand, almost everywhere in the European part of the country, the sowing season starts a week ahead of schedule. The farmers of Crimea will be the first to start the sowing campaign, they will be able to start work in the first decade of March, in the south of Russia - from the first decade of April.
At the same time, he stressed that the possibility of frosts remains, especially in the first decade of May. In the central part of Russia, frosts are predicted with a probability of 20-40%, in the south - 20-25%, in the center - the situation is even more "significant".
