Investments in the Russian tourism industry increased by 44%

In the first 9 months of 2024, private and public investments in the Russian tourism industry increased by 44%, reaching 652 billion rubles. This is almost one and a half times more than in the same period in 2023. Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov spoke about investments in the tourism industry.

Under the concessional lending program, 239 projects are being implemented with a total investment of 1.2 trillion rubles.

Over the period of 2023-2024, over 600 projects in 61 regions were supported under the modular hotel construction subsidy program. These projects include the creation of about 14,500 hotel rooms.

A new selection for this program was announced in December, and applications are being accepted until March 3.

As part of the concessional lending program, 218 projects are being implemented for the construction of hotels and multifunctional complexes with a total of 51.3 thousand hotel rooms. These projects also include 9 water parks, 3 amusement parks and 9 ski resorts.
