The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation has extended the procedure for the employment of citizens who have lost their jobs due to the suspension of the company. In 2025, these employees may also be temporarily transferred to other organizations. This employment procedure began to operate in 2024.

"The decision is aimed at ensuring the labor rights of employees and employers in regions where an average response level has been introduced, as well as evacuated employees," the government explained.

To transfer an employee to a new location, an employer who has temporarily suspended the workflow will need the written consent of the employee, as well as a referral from the employment center. Temporary employers will conclude fixed-term employment contracts with such employees with the possibility of their extension. At the same time, the employment contract with the main employer will be suspended for this time, but not interrupted.
