5 billion rubles were allocated to support preferential leasing of water transport

The government has allocated 5 billion rubles to support preferential leasing of water transport. This is reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Thanks to the allocated funds, 33 passenger ships will be built at domestic shipyards in 2025-2026, which the state transport leasing company will transfer to transport companies. Leasing at a discounted rate of 2.93% per annum will be designed for up to 25 years.

The investment project for the construction of marine and river vessels for preferential leasing was launched in 2023. It is planned that 260 vessels, including passenger, fishing, cargo and large-tonnage vessels, will be built by 2027.
