Starting from January 1, a number of BRICS countries will join the BRICS as partners.

Starting from January 1, 2025, Belarus, Bolivia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan will join the BRICS as partner countries. These countries have confirmed their consent to acquire this status.

In addition, four more countries have received invitations to join the partner category. This was announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry on Friday.
