Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin summed up the results of 2024 in the construction industry at a meeting of the presidium of the government commission for Regional Development. He noted that the volume of construction work has increased by more than 32% since 2019.

The national projects "Housing and urban environment" and "Safe, high-quality roads" proved particularly successful. In 2024, it is planned to commission at least 105 million square meters of housing and lay about 139 million square meters of asphalt concrete.

A new national project, Infrastructure for Life, is scheduled to be launched next year, which will determine the main areas of work until 2030. The main focus will be on the modernization of communal infrastructure, the renovation of public transport and the integrated development of territories.

According to the Housing and Urban Environment project, housing conditions improved for 4.2 million families in 2024, and this figure has reached 22.7 million families since 2019. In addition, 72,000 public and courtyard spaces were landscaped. The share of cities with a favorable living environment increased from 26.8% to 68%.

Within the framework of the Clean Water project, the proportion of the population provided with high-quality drinking water has increased to 88%. By the end of the year, more than 24,000 kilometers of roads will be built and brought to a standard condition. Over 8,000 public transport units have also been updated, and the Central Transport Hub has been actively developing.
