The number of trips from Russia abroad increased by 17%

In 2024, 14 million Russian tourists visited abroad. The growth compared to 2023 was 17%. Such data is provided by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.

In general, the outbound flow of Russians, including for tourist, business and official purposes, amounted to 17.35 million people, which is 17.2% higher than last year.

Last year, Russians flew most often to Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and China, as well as to Cuba, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Maldives and Indonesia. Collectively, vacations in these countries accounted for up to 85% of sales.

It was noted that in terms of the number of trips to Turkey, the level of 2019 has almost been restored - 7 million Russian tourists.
