Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed raising maternity benefits for young women to the subsistence level. He stated this at a meeting of the State Council on December 20.
In addition, starting from January 1, 2025, the single allowance for early pregnancy registration will increase by 14.8% due to an increase in the cost of living. Thus, it will amount to more than 17 thousand rubles per child, said Anton Kotyakov, head of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation.
