The Bank of Russia may return to the issue of raising the key rate in February. This was stated by the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, during a press conference.

Recall that the next board of directors of the Central Bank, during which the issue of the key rate will be resolved, is scheduled for February 14, 2025.

We also recall that on December 20, the Central Bank left the key rate unchanged at 21%. However, according to Nabiullina, in addition to maintaining the rate, the expediency of raising it to 22% and to 23% was discussed.
