The bilateral visa-free regime between Russia and Myanmar is planned to be launched in early 2025. This was reported by Nikita Kondratiev, head of the Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects of the Ministry of Economic Development, TASS reports.

According to Kondratiev, the relevant consultations between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries are coming to an end. It is expected that the agreement on visa-free travel will be signed in the near future. He stressed that today the visa-free regime with Myanmar operates unilaterally, only for Russians. With the signing of the agreement, the possibility of visa-free travel will also appear for citizens of Myanmar.
