The number of trips abroad by the end of the year will amount to 75-80% of the pre-2019 year

By the end of 2024, outbound tourism in the Russian Federation will recover only by 75-80% from the level of the pre-2019 year. This was reported by TASS with reference to the vice-president of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Alexander Osaulenko.

Osaulenko noted that currently about 50 international destinations are available to Russians, 36 of which are operated by Russian airlines.

At the same time, according to him, the tourist flow to Russia from China has almost recovered, the Middle East is developing very actively: the Emirates and Saudi Arabia. In India, they expect to return to the pre-crisis indicators in 2025.

Earlier it was reported that by the end of 2023, the number of Russian trips abroad increased by 13% year-on-year, to 26 million.
