Over the past week, starting from November 11, 2024, average mortgage rates in Russia increased by 3 percentage points. Such data is provided by RBC with reference to data from the Unified Housing Information System (UISWS).
Market mortgage rates for new buildings increased by 2.96 percentage points, reaching an average value of 28.44%. Secondary housing was also not left out: rates on it increased by 3.18 percentage points, averaging 28.64%.
The main reason for such a significant increase in average rates was a significant rise in the price of loans from two of the largest mortgage banks in Russia. The Savings Bank raised the rate to 28.7%, and VTB to 29.5%, which had a significant impact on the overall situation in the mortgage lending market.
