In October, inflation in the Russian Federation increased by 0.75%

In October 2024, compared with the previous month, inflation in the Russian consumer market amounted to 0.75%. This is reported by the Ministry of Economic Development with reference to Rosstat data.

Food products increased the rate of price growth to 1.23% for the month. Prices for fruits and vegetables increased by 1.44%, and for other food products by 1.2%. The dynamics of prices for bread and bakery products amounted to 1.3%, for pork - 0.17%, for beef - by 1%, chicken meat fell by 1.09%.

Price dynamics in the non-food segment amounted to 0.68% month-on-month. The growth rate of gasoline prices decreased to 0.58%, diesel fuel - to 0.72%, medicines - to 1.07%. Communications equipment fell by 0.37% and TV and radio products by 0.8%.

The growth rate of prices in the service sector decreased to 0.21%. Prices for foreign tourism services decreased by 11.9%, sightseeing services - by 8.11%, hotel services - by 0.13%.

Over the past week (from November 6 to 11, 2024), prices in the consumer market increased by 0.3%: in the food market - by 0.55%, in the non-food market - by 0.09%, in the service sector - by 0.38%.
