Putin identified the serial production of drones as the key task of the defense industry

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Military-Industrial Commission in St. Petersburg via video link on the development of unmanned aircraft systems for special purposes. The Head of State especially stressed the need to completely cover the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. And to do this, it is necessary to increase the production of unmanned vehicles, improve their tactical and technical characteristics, modernize them taking into account combat experience, the president said.

Simultaneously with the development of drones, Putin announced the search for electronic and fire damage. 

- To establish serial production as quickly as possible, I emphasize, it is the serial production of such promising equipment. And of course, we need to create groundwork for the future. It is already possible to predict what tasks drones will solve tomorrow," Vladimir Putin said.
