In Russia, the requirements for the return of foreign companies through options have been tightened

The government has tightened the requirements for the return of foreign companies to Russia through options. The Ministry of Economic Development has developed eight conditions that must be fulfilled simultaneously.

We are talking about the following conditions:

- the option was concluded in 2022;
- no special permission from the government commission was required for the alienation of shares by a foreign investor;
- the Russian organization conducts activities that are subject to federal sanitary and epidemiological control.

At the same time, the list is not exhaustive, and the president can make changes to it. However, the final decision on whether a foreign investor will be able to exercise the option will be made by the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region. RBC writes about this.
