Agroholding &Russian Field» will invest 3.5 billion rubles in the construction of a rapeseed processing plant in the Borsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region. This is reported by the newspaper Kommersant with reference to Anton Romanov, CEO of the holding.

According to Anton Romanov, about 20 thousand hectares are occupied by rapeseed in the Nizhny Novgorod region, and the development potential is up to 300 thousand hectares. So the construction of a rapeseed processing plant will allow Nizhny Novgorod plant growers to improve their economic performance. Now the nearest oil extraction plant is located 600 km from the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Agroholding «Russian&field» is one of the largest landowners in the Central Federal District, with a total area of farmland of 17,600 hectares. The main crops are wheat, rye, barley, and peas.
