The Arbitration Court of the Kaliningrad Region has seized shares of Raiffeisenbank as collateral for a claim by the company MKAO &Rasperia Trading Limited » for 195 billion rubles. This is reported by the publication «Kommersant ».

As far as we know, the lawsuit itself was filed by the company on August 19 against Raiffeisenbank and the construction company Strabag SE. The claims are related to the cancelled transaction for the purchase of shares of the company by the bank «Strabag SE». The dividends from the sale were supposed to go to the parent company in Austria. However, later Raiffeisenbank refused to buy shares. Now representatives of the company &Rasperia» are seeking recovery and seizure of property by court.

The court issued a decision on interim measures on September 4 at a closed meeting. It is unclear what will happen now with the stake in the construction company Strabag SE, worth 1.51 billion euros, which Raiffeisenbank should transfer to the parent company in the form of dividends. Currently, the company is no longer controlled by businessman Oleg Deripaska, and the shares remain frozen as part of EU sanctions.
