The shortage of taxi drivers in Russia by the end of the year will amount to more than 130 thousand people. This is reported by the RBC edition with reference to the representative of "Yandex Taxi" Anton Petrakov.
"p>gt; According to him, the problem is so acute that it can lead to an increase in prices by tens of percent for taxi drivers, especially at the end of the year and during rush hours. The shortage of personnel in the taxi industry is growing, among other things, due to the sharp tightening of migration policy and regulation of taxi activities. For this reason, new drivers do not enter the taxi industry. To solve this issue, according to Anton Petrakov, it is necessary to reduce barriers to entry into the industry and abandon strict state regulation. At the same time, from the beginning of April to the end of August 2024, self-employed drivers who work with the Yandex Taxi service paid 2 billion rubles in taxes to the budget. The money was received through the automatic tax deduction function inside the service.
