The hostage-taking in the Volgograd IC was explained by revenge for the terrorists from Crocus

The radicals who took hostages in a penal colony in the Volgograd region explained their actions as revenge for the terrorists who attacked the visitors of Crocus City Hall. This is reported by Shot and Baza with reference to a video sent to the security forces by the invaders of the colony.

The attackers are armed with knives, a hammer, scissors. The radicals also claim that they have an explosive device and threaten to detonate it. In a fragment of the video, one of the radicals is wearing a vest with an alleged IED.

In a video message, they refute the information that they asked for a helicopter and $ 2 million and ask to exchange one of the wounded hostages for another. They claim that they have hostages, but they are not in the footage. There are a total of 1,230 prisoners in the colony.

Sources report that the radicals are in the building where they committed the attack, they cannot move around the IR, as they were blocked by FSIN officers.

It is known that four terrorists met and became radicals in the colony. They are serving sentences of 6 to 8 years for drug distribution (three) and intentional infliction of serious harm to health.

The situation in the colony was reported to the President of the Russian Federation.

Four people were injured at the hands of the attackers, two of whom are in serious condition, two more are in moderate condition. This was reported by the authorities of the region. The Mufti of the central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Volgograd region said that it is impossible to negotiate with terrorists.
