A hostage-taking took place in a correctional colony in the Volgograd region. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Federal Penitentiary Service.

The incident occurred during a meeting of the disciplinary commission. It is reported that at least three prisoners killed one person, and three were seriously injured. They called themselves members of a terrorist and banned ISIS cell in the Russian Federation, demanded $ 2 million and a helicopter.

Special forces arrived at the IK-19, negotiations were underway. According to SHOT, the invaders handed over three wounded hostages to the security forces, including the head of the colony, Andrei Devyatov, as well as one of the prisoners. They were hospitalized.

Mash reports that a mullah from a local mosque was called to negotiate with the attackers.
