Russian President Vladimir Putin made a number of statements at the Navy Day parade in St. Petersburg regarding the future deployment of short- and medium-range missiles (INF) by the US military in Germany. According to the President of the country, "Russia will consider itself free from the moratorium on the deployment of INF in the event of the appearance of American missiles in Germany." According to the head of state, the flight time against objects in Russia will be greatly reduced.

- Draws attention to the statement of the American administration and the German government on the plans to deploy American high-precision complexes from 2026 on the territory of Germany "Long-range missile weapons," Vladimir Putin said, "will include important Russian state-owned military facilities, our administrative and industrial centers and defense infrastructure in its reach. And the flight time to targets on our territory of such missiles, which in the future can be equipped with nuclear warheads, will be about ten minutes.

According to the president, at the same time, earlier, during the exercises, the United States had already worked out the transfer of Typhon missile systems from its territory to Denmark and the Philippines. This situation is reminiscent of the events of the Cold War, related to the deployment of American Pershing medium-range missiles in Europe.

- In the case of the implementation by the United States of America of such plans, we will consider ourselves free from the unilateral moratorium on the deployment of medium-range and shorter-range strike weapons previously assumed. Including increasing the capabilities of the coastal troops of our Navy," Vladimir Putin said, "today the development of a number of such systems is at the final stage. We will take mirror measures to deploy them, taking into account the actions of the United States, its satellites in Europe and in other regions of the world.
