The Russian government has approved an action plan to implement the Energy Strategy, designed to guide the sector until 2050. The plan includes over 80 measures to be implemented over the next three years, aimed at helping the industry better respond to external challenges and achieve national goals.
Key areas of focus include ensuring reliable energy supply, improving the energy sector through the adoption of efficient technologies, modernizing infrastructure, increasing production of components and equipment, reducing harmful emissions, training and supporting young professionals, and optimizing resource use by increasing the share of alternative and renewable energy sources.
"All these steps will help create a foundation for solving long-term tasks, the basis that will ensure the advanced development of our economy and maintain its role as one of the leading suppliers," Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted.
