Russian and Belarusian Transport Ministers signed a memorandum of cooperation on the construction of a high-speed rail line between Moscow and Minsk.
According to Russian Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin, Russian Railways (RZD) has begun work on the technical feasibility study for the high-speed rail project.
The railway will span approximately 700 kilometers, with an estimated travel time of around three hours. The projected annual passenger traffic for the future high-speed line is estimated at 5.8 million people.
