### Russian Maternity Benefits to Surpass 1.1 Million Rubles in 2027
In 2027, the maximum maternity allowance for working women in Russia will exceed 1.1 million rubles, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (Mintrud). The ministry has presented its forecasted social benefits for the next year.
The maximum monthly childcare allowance for working citizens is expected to reach over 95,500 rubles in 2027.
The government also plans to increase the maternity capital (a state-supported financial aid for families with children). The payment for the first child will increase to 778,500 rubles. If a family did not apply for the maternity capital upon the birth of their first child, they will receive 1,029,000 rubles when the second child is born.
Additionally, the maximum sickness benefit will rise. For citizens with an insurance record of eight years or more, the payment in 2027 could reach nearly 239,000 rubles per month.
The one-time allowance upon childbirth is projected to increase to 30,400 rubles, according to Mintrud.
