### Ruble Weakens by 0.8% Against Major Currencies on Monday On Monday, the ruble is losing ground against a basket of currencies, depreciating by approximately 0.8%. In the interbank market, the ruble-to-yuan (CNY/RUB) exchange rate is trading at 12.60 rubles per yuan. The ruble-to-dollar (USD/RUB) rate stands at 85.05 rubles per U.S. dollar. It is worth noting that the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has established official exchange rates for foreign currencies against the ruble based on consolidated data from both exchange and over-the-counter segments of the foreign exchange market starting from December 27, 2024. This measure, outlined in CBR Regulation No. 6956-U, aims to enhance the representativeness of official exchange rates amid the growing volume of over-the-counter transactions. Furthermore, since June 8, 2026, the CBR has revised the calculation of the official euro-to-ruble (EUR/RUB) exchange rate. Instead of using direct quotes for euro-ruble transactions, the bank now calculates the rate through a cross-currency formula: EUR/RUB = USD/RUB × EUR/USD (based on data from the European Central Bank).
