Russian Government Approves List of Key IT Projects Allocating 144 Billion Rubles

The Russian government has approved a list of 24 particularly significant IT projects with a total cost of 14.4 billion rubles ($186 million). The implementation of these initiatives will be funded by the companies themselves.

The largest investment volume is allocated to the transport sector, with 12 projects worth a total of 11.66 billion rubles ($151 million) included in the approved list.

Another eight projects worth 2.38 billion rubles ($31 million) relate to industry and trade. In the telecommunications and media sector, three IT projects valued at 281.2 million rubles ($3.7 million) are planned. One project, costing 54.1 million rubles ($700,000), is associated with the agro-industrial and fishery complex.

Major customers and participants in these projects include companies such as Severstal, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), ALROSA, Nizhnevartovsk Production Association "Vostok", Aeroflot, Sheremetyevo International Airport (a major Russian airport), Russian Railways (RZD), Avtodor (a state-owned highway operator), Global Ports, ER-Telecom Holding, and Penzamolinvest.
