Death Toll Rises to Six After Nighttime Strike in Belgorod

Six people were killed in the Russian city of Belgorod early on August 9 following a mass drone attack, according to the regional operational headquarters.

Among the at least 25 injured are two children aged 4 and 9. One of them is hospitalized in a moderate condition.

Fires that broke out at various locations due to falling debris and explosions have been fully extinguished. However, the material damage is significant: multiple residential buildings, administrative structures, social infrastructure facilities, and commercial enterprises have been damaged. Authorities are still assessing the extent of the damage.

The situation remains under the control of acting governor Alexander Shuvalov and emergency services.
