In the second quarter of 2026, Russian banks thwarted 17.5 million attempts by fraudsters to steal money. Compared to the previous quarter, the number of prevented fraudulent transactions increased by 4%.

During this period, criminals managed to carry out 458,700 fraudulent operations, a decrease of 7.5% compared to the first quarter. The total amount of losses for bank customers amounted to 7.4 billion rubles. Banks were able to compensate customers for their losses in only 7% of cases (514.6 million rubles).
