### Russian Auto Sales Rise 10% in First Seven Months of 2026
In the first seven months of 2026, a total of 815,100 new cars were sold in Russia, marking a 10% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg).
Sales of domestically produced vehicles saw a significant increase of 26.5%, reaching 516,000 units.
During this period, 732,100 passenger cars were sold (up 13.3%), while sales of light commercial vehicles fell by 17.2% to 48,000 units. Sales of trucks and buses also declined, dropping 6.7% to 29,300 trucks and 3.5% to 5,700 buses.
The market for hybrid and electric vehicles experienced the most substantial growth, rising 94.7% to 70,200 units.
