Russian Nominal Wages Up 14.1%, Real Wages Rise 7.8%

In the first four months of 2026, the average nominal salary in Russia reached 107,574 rubles ($1,450 USD). Compared to the same period last year, nominal wages increased by 14.1%, according to a report by the Ministry of Economic Development based on Rosstat data (Rosstat is the Russian Federal State Statistics Service).

Real wages, adjusted for inflation, rose by 7.8% year-on-year.

The unemployment rate for the first four months stood at 2.1%.
