### Russian Used Car Sales Surge in April 2026 In April 2026, 542,200 used passenger cars were sold in Russia, according to Autostat, a leading Russian automotive market research agency. This represents a 6.4% increase year-on-year and a 14% increase month-on-month. The most popular brands during this period were Lada (126,100 units), Toyota (56,400), Kia (29,700), Hyundai (28,800), and Volkswagen (24,500). Overall, from January to April 2026, 1.866 million used passenger cars were sold in Russia, surpassing the same period in 2025 by 5.1%. (Lada is a well-known Russian car brand owned by Avtovaz, one of the largest carmakers in Russia.)
