RZD to Offer Over 62 Million Seats on Long-Distance Trains During Summer Season

Oleg Belozerov, CEO of Russian Railways (RZD), announced that the company is fully prepared for the increased passenger traffic during the summer vacation season. According to Belozerov, the carrier has significantly expanded its seasonal program by scheduling 165 additional trains.

During a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Belozerov noted that long-distance passengers will have access to over 62 million seats this summer, which is 0.5% more than in the previous season.

He highlighted that special attention has been given to popular tourist routes. RZD plans to increase the number of trains heading to Crimea and resorts in the North Caucasus. Additionally, the number of seasonal trains has increased by nearly 30%.

Belozerov emphasized that the company is ready to quickly respond to changes in demand and increase transport capacity if necessary.
