Russia, China oppose any hostile actions between nuclear powers

Some nuclear-armed states, "blindly believing in the law of the strong," are trying to gain a military advantage by deploying offensive and defensive nuclear weapons close to other nuclear powers, increasing tensions between nuclear-armed countries, according to a joint statement from Moscow and Beijing following a meeting between the leaders of the two countries.
"The sides condemn any provocations and hostile actions by some nuclear-armed states against other nuclear-armed states that undermine their fundamental security interests and increase strategic risks," the joint statement on further strengthening comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction, and deepening relations of good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation reads.
Russia and China called on other nuclear-armed states that signed the Joint Statement of the Leaders of the Five Nuclear-Weapon States on Preventing Nuclear War and Avoiding Arms Races to strictly and fully adhere to its content.
