The Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia has significantly increased budget revenues as a result of its control activities. In 2025, the amount of additional tax payments following tax inspections reached 496 billion rubles ($6.3 billion), which is 22% higher than the previous year, report Vedomosti.
Analytical control tools made the largest contribution to the growth, accounting for over 310 billion rubles of additional revenue. This result reflects the increasing role of digital technologies and preemptive data analysis in detecting tax violations.
On-site inspections also showed positive dynamics, contributing 186 billion rubles, an increase of nearly a quarter. The total number of such inspections rose to 5,400, compared to 4,900 the previous year.
Desk inspections brought in more than 150 billion rubles to the budget, with the average amount of additional payments increasing by over 24%. This indicates an improvement in the accuracy and effectiveness of control procedures.
The FTS notes that the key factor in increasing efficiency was the development of analytical platforms and digital monitoring systems. This approach allows for stronger tax discipline and increased budget revenues without a significant expansion of inspection activities.
