Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev announced that the beaches in Anapa are expected to reopen by the start of the summer season - around June 1. According to him, the main cleanup efforts along the coastline have already been completed.

Speaking on the program "Vesti" (a popular Russian news show), Savelyev stated that over 90% of oil contamination on the beaches has been removed. Additional inspections confirmed that the seawater is safe for use, and certain coastal areas have already been officially removed from the emergency zone.

Savelyev noted that recent laboratory tests conducted by Rospotrebnadzor (the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing) confirmed the safety of eight pebble beaches. These include the coastal area from the village of Bolshoy Utриш to the Vyssoky Bereg district, which have now been excluded from the emergency zone.

The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that if the current pace of restoration work continues, the resort will be able to welcome tourists on schedule. He expressed confidence that the beaches will be fully prepared for the summer season and will reopen to visitors starting in early June.
