Russian Auto Leasing Market Grows 20% Year-to-Date

Russian Businesses Acquired 21,600 Leased Cars in January-February 2026

In the first two months of 2026, Russian business representatives leased 21,600 passenger cars (15,000 new and 6,600 used). According to data from the NAPI agency, cited by TASS, the leasing market grew by 20% year-on-year.

Specifically, leasing of used cars increased by 67.2%, while leasing of new cars rose by 6.6%.

The share of leasing in corporate sales of new passenger cars increased from 54.5% to 65%, and in the segment of used cars from 23.6% to 34.3%.

The share of Chinese brands in leasing decreased from 50.6% to 46.2%, while the share of domestic brands increased from 27.7% to 30.9%. The leading brands in leasing were Lada (with a share of 21.7%), Haval (8.8%), Belgee (8.6%), Chery (8.2%), and Tenet (6.9%). The most popular models were Lada Granta, Belgee X50, Chery Arrizo 8, Haval Jolion, and Lada Largus.
