### Russia to Purchase 3,000 Domestically Produced School Buses in 2026 The Russian government has announced plans to purchase at least 3,000 new school buses made by domestic manufacturers for regional schools in 2026. The initiative was ordered by First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to oversee the procurement and distribution process. The decision follows a previous directive by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who had mandated the annual purchase of 3,000 school buses. The buses will primarily be allocated to small towns and rural areas. According to the government press service, in 2025, approximately 3,100 school buses were delivered to regions at a cost of over 11 billion rubles. These buses were manufactured by Russian companies such as UAZ, PAZ, KAVZ, and NAZ.
