The state investments in the development of unmanned systems industry in Russia amount to approximately 30 billion rubles annually. This was announced by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov in an interview with the "Rossiya-1" TV channel.
According to him, the funding covers not only the direct production and implementation of drones, but also scientific research and development, as well as leasing programs. The latter, the minister noted, are aimed at making modern unmanned solutions more accessible to a wide range of users.
Siluanov emphasized the strategic importance of this direction for the economy. Massive adoption of autonomous technologies, according to his assessment, will allow to free up the workforce and redirect it to industries experiencing a shortage of personnel. In addition, the use of unmanned equipment in emergency situations can reduce costs by partially replacing more expensive to operate aircraft and helicopters.
