In 2025, a total of 672,431 new passenger cars from China were sold in Russia, marking a 26% year-on-year decline, according to a study by Autostat. In December, sales of Chinese cars amounted to 56,881 units, which is 15% lower than the same period in 2024. Analysts note that the past year saw a cooling trend for Chinese brands in the Russian market following explosive growth in 2024. Despite this significant drop in sales, Chinese car brands managed to retain a large share of the Russian market (51.5%). The most sold Chinese brands in Russia in 2025 were Haval (173,400 units, -9% year-on-year), Chery (99,900 units, -37%), Geely (93,900 units, -37%), Changan (64,000 units, -38%), Jetour (36,500 units, +4%), Omoda (28,700 units, -42%), and Exeed (21,700 units, sales nearly halved).
