16 customs posts of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) specializing in electronic declaration of goods in digital format will distribute declarations without territorial restrictions.
In March, customs will launch a new automated dispatching mechanism for operations between these centers. It is expected that this approach will speed up procedures and simultaneously reduce corruption risks.
In the longer term, the agency plans to create a unified automated system of customs authorities of a new generation by 2030. At the same time, modernization of near-customs infrastructure is planned, including arrival points and temporary storage zones for goods.
The FCS also notes that digital changes are being implemented in constant dialogue with the business community: proposals and comments from participants in foreign economic activity are taken into account when refining services and regulations.
