The U.S. State Department has clarified reports on visa restrictions, emphasizing that it does not involve a complete halt in visa issuance. According to the American foreign policy agency, as reported by TASS, the temporary pause only affects the processing of immigrant visas for citizens of 75 countries.

As a State Department representative stated, at the moment, only the processing of applications for immigrant visas has been suspended. Information about freezing the issuance of other visa categories, such as tourist, work, or student visas, has not been confirmed or officially announced.

Earlier, Fox News, citing an internal State Department document, reported an alleged complete suspension of visa issuance to citizens of 75 countries, including Russia. However, subsequent clarifications from the U.S. side indicate a more limited scope of restrictions.
