In December 2025, Russia imported 50,3 thousand new passenger cars. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the decrease was 26%. This is stated in the presentation of "Avtostat".
At the same time, the import of used cars increased by 74%, reaching 51.2 thousand units. In the segment of new cars, Geely was the leader in sales, while Toyota was the leader among used cars.
China ranks first among countries importing new cars to Russia, with a share of 63.9% in the Russian market. Second place is occupied by Kyrgyzstan (18.5%), and third by South Korea (7.6%).
Among the countries importing used cars to Russia, Japan is in the lead with a share of 46.1% in the Russian market, followed by China (23.2%) and South Korea (19.1%).
