Kyrgyzstan has no plans to introduce a rule requiring Russian citizens to enter the country only with a foreign passport from 2026. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Ministry in response to media reports.

"The information does not correspond to reality," commented the Russian diplomatic department for TASS.

According to the representative of the Foreign Ministry, the department will soon publish more detailed information on this issue.

  • Earlier, the Telegram channel "Ranshe vsekh" citing its own source reported that from the new year, Russians would need a valid foreign passport to enter Kyrgyzstan.
