Starting from January 2026, the entry requirements for Russian citizens visiting Kyrgyzstan will change, according to a report by the Telegram channel "Ranshe vsekh" citing its own source. It is reported that from the new year, Russians will need a valid foreign passport to enter Kyrgyzstan. Currently, under the existing visa-free regime between the two countries, Russians can visit Kyrgyzstan using their domestic passports. The reasons for tightening the requirements are not specified.
