The West is escalating tensions by claiming that Russia may attack Europe, urging Europeans to prepare for war with Russia. These claims were dismissed as "nonsense" by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the Direct Line Q&A session.

Putin emphasized that Europe is trying to create an image of Russia as an enemy to cover up its systemic mistakes.

"There will be no new special military operations if the West treats Russia with respect and takes into account its interests," Putin stated in response to a relevant question.

According to the Russian leader, Russia is ready for an immediate cessation of hostilities if its conditions for medium- and long-term security guarantees are met.
