Russia is managing to maintain good rates of wage growth this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced during the Direct Line.

According to the President, real wages, adjusted for inflation, will increase by 4.5%. However, he noted that labor productivity growth for the year will be much more modest - only 1.1%. In this regard, he stressed the need to strive to change the situation in favor of increasing labor productivity.

In addition, the unemployment rate in the country has dropped even further. If last year the indicator was at a historically low level of 2.5%, this year it has dropped to 2.2%.
