In 2025, Avtovaz will produce 325,000 Lada cars, which is 200,000 fewer than in 2024, when the company produced nearly 525,600 Lada cars. This was announced by Avtovaz CEO Maxim Sokolov in an interview on Rossiya-24 TV channel. According to Sokolov, the reduction in production is due to a decrease in demand. "We can confidently say that the final figure will be almost 325,000 cars. Yes, it is less than in 2024, but nevertheless, as I have already said, we had to stabilize our production depending on real sales and demand for our products," he said. Earlier, the head of Avtovaz had announced plans to produce about 400,000 cars in 2026, provided that the total market for new passenger cars in Russia during this period reaches the forecasted 1.5 million units.
