According to preliminary results of 2025, Russian ice cream exports are expected to grow by 15% in volume and by 25.9% in value, reaching $73 million. This information was reported by "Kommersant" citing data from "Agroexport".
From January to September 2025, exports reached 16 thousand tons (+15% year-on-year) and $67 million (+30%).
Experts attribute the positive trend to the expansion of export destinations to friendly countries. The main buyers of Russian ice cream are Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and China. Additionally, the share of Asian and African countries in the export structure is increasing. In total, Russian ice cream is exported to more than 50 countries.
Overall, exports account for 5-6% of the total production volume in the country. Meanwhile, domestic consumption of ice cream in Russia is declining. According to data from the analytical company "Nielsen", natural ice cream sales in retail from November 2024 to October 2025 decreased by 2.9% year-on-year, but increased by 10% in monetary terms. The drop in sales volumes is explained by the cold summer.
