The Central Bank Explains How Official Exchange Rates of Foreign Currencies to the Ruble Will Be Set During New Year Holidays

The Bank of Russia has announced how official exchange rates for foreign currencies against the ruble will be set during the extended New Year holidays. The rates will be established on the last working day of the outgoing year, December 30, and will remain in effect until January 12, 2026, inclusive. On the first working day of 2026 (January 12), the regulator will update the official exchange rates, which will come into effect starting January 13. In the same manner, prices for refined precious metals will be set.
