Russians planning trips to Thailand are advised to refrain from visiting problematic territories due to the conflict on the Thai-Cambodian border. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Thailand Evgeny Tomikhin on the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

According to him, about 20 thousand Russians arrive in Thailand every week on vacation, as the main resorts in the country are located at a considerable distance from the conflict zone. Tomikhin stressed that at the moment there had been no requests from Russians permanently or temporarily staying in the kingdom for embassy help, from which he concluded that fellow citizens had not yet suffered.
